Be a Part of The Epilogues’ New Video!
You saw the Epilogues‘ video for “Hunting Season” on the Sovereign Sound first. You remember how amazing it was, how the song made you feel, and how the cinematography moved, inspired, and awed you. Well now you have the chance to be a part of their next project– the band is at it again and gearing up to create a brand new masterpiece. The video for new single “The Fallout” will be directed by the same brilliant mind behind “Hunting Season,” Dylan Novak of Montauk Media, so it is guaranteed to be sensational. This time around, though, the band is doing something a little different and asking for fans, friends, and general admirers to help out in making the video. So if you love The Epilogues, here is your chance to prove it.
In order to raise money for the creation of their new video, The Epilogues have enlisted the help of Kickstarter, the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects. The unique interface allows fans of the band, called ‘backers,’ to pledge certain amounts of money towards creating the video. But the process doesn’t end with the donation. In return for their generosity, fans get to choose from a plethora of awesome awards packages that The Epilogues have put together.
There are many levels of donation amounts that elicit awards, ranging from $5 to $5,000. Here are just a few of the many prizes available: autographed copies of albums, props from the video shoot, instruments from the band, guestlist access to all Epilogues shows in 2011, a night out with the band at Casa Bonita or Jumpstreet, or even a song named after you. You can even secure yourself a spot with the band on their trip to Austin, Texas for SXSW 2011 in March. My personal favorite is the chance to see your face incorporated on an upcoming version of an Epilogues T-shirt.
The key to the whole creative project is, if they don’t reach their goal of $4,000 worth of pledging, then none of the ‘backers’ pay a cent. Your credit card is NOT charged unless they generate enough support. Unfortunately, if they don’t reach their goal, it will put a damper on the production of the video and nobody wants that.
So what are you waiting for? Get on board with this up-and-coming band so you can say you heard them first and helped jumpstart their career. Head over to the Epilogues page at Kickstarter to donate some money and receive some incredible prizes! But do it quickly, because pledges are only accepted until January 3rd.
